Sarah Ceglarski, Chief Marketing Officer at Omelet

Meeting passionate and creative leaders is part of what inspires us about this industry. We spoke with Sarah Ceglarski, Chief Marketing Officer of Omelet. Read on for more here.

What is the number one quality you look for in talent?

Critical thinking. There’s rarely a playbook for anything we do in this business, and even with the playbook, we need to challenge ourselves to throw it out and rewrite it. I love it when new people join the team and they’re like, “why are you doing it this way?” And then suggest a genius new approach to something you hadn’t questioned before.

What is the very best career advice you’ve ever received?
Pick the teacher not the class. Ok yes, this was advice I got in school, but it works for work, too! I’ll follow an inspiring leader and team any day. The people you’re with make the work interesting and rewarding. An incredible CEO with an inspiring vision is what charges your growth. People first, always.

What part of your role as CMO do you find most rewarding?
Being in constant learning mode. Every pitch is an opportunity to learn about something new about the world, connect with different people, and solve interesting problems. It’s a job that stokes and rewards curiosity, and because everyone at the agency gets to touch new business, it’s really fun to see everyone rally around that mindset.
